Dr. Michael Crupain, MD, MPH

Dr. Michael Crupain, MD, MPH is a board certified preventive medicine physician who is passionate about changing our culture to help make being healthy easy. Fortunately this is something he gets to do everyday as the Medical Unit Chief of Staff at The Dr. Oz Show. Prior to joining The Dr. Oz Show, he was the director of food safety testing at Consumer Reports. There Dr. Crupain managed a wide array of high impact projects from arsenic in rice to antibiotic resistant bacteria in meats. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and attended medical school at New York Medical College. Dr. Crupain started his post-graduate training in neurosurgery, but after a few years decided to change to preventive medicine, so he could make a bigger impact on population health. He completed his residency along with his MPH at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he is currently part time faculty.
